Loki's Scepter from The Avengers FL18916-GA1
This has been a long
time coming, but I am pleased to finally show the results of months of
work. I was approached to create a replica of Loki's scepter from
Marvel's "The Avengers" for a client. The piece was created in a
combination of rotocast urethane resin and cold cast aluminum resin. The
piece measures about 42 inches when fully assembled. The gem does not
light up.The blades and "steel" parts are cast in cold cast aluminum
with acrylic and enamel weathering. The gold areas are cast hollow to
minimize weight, and the piece weighs less than 4 lbs fully assembled. I'll
be completing the full length spear version seen during Loki's fight
with Thor on the roof of Stark tower over the next few weeks as well. OVER ALL LENGTH : 42 INCHES BLADE LENGTH : 18 INCHES HANDLE LENGTH : 24 INCHES INCLUDES WOODEN DISPLAY STAND
