This Early 14^th century Bascinet helm is constructed of Mild Steel. The visor of the helmet can be lifted upwards – the visor is fixed in to place when raised or lowered by two steel push-buttons spring. The helmet is held to the head with an adjusted chinstrap of leather with a brass buckle.
