The Medieval bevor (bevors) is a component of medieval armor plate, the
Gothic type, used as protection of the chin (neck and lower face) during
the fighting. This type of bevor became popular towards the end of the
15th century. It is rigid, yet articulated at the neck, offering
excellent protection and efficiency. Our Bevor is made in a central
European style and dates from around 1480 to 1500. It is constructed
from 16 gauge steel and is perfect for re-enactment.
